Mattress Covers - what are these used for?

The mattress covers is often used simply as mattress protection, sometimes as an extra layer to soften the unevenness of the mattress.

Still, the main “mission” of the mattress is to provide extra comfort. It is the natural fiber mattresses that allow the body to breathe, regulate humidity and temperature. And this is especially true when the mattress is made of viscoelastic material, which adapts extremely well to body shapes, but practically does not breathe at all. And even if your duvet is light enough, a common problem is sweat between the skin and the base of the bed.

VIELĖ mattress covers are double-sided: merino wool fiber on one side and quilted cotton satin (with merino wool padding) on ​​the other. Both of these fabrics are breathable and dries out the moisture extremely well. In the hot year season, we recommend laying on top of the satin side - this will feel extra freshness, while the wool side will provide extra warmth and coziness during the cold period.
