Both goose and duck down basically gives the same warmth. However, there is a difference between duck down and goose down. Because geese are larger birds, it is natural for them to grow larger fluff than ducks. Due to its longer fibers goose fluff creats larger air gaps, so goose down duvets will be more fluffy and warmer than the duck down duvet of the same weight .
Our products use white duck or Hungarian goose down.
Hungarian goose down is considered to be the highest quality down in the world. Hungarian goose down is used to make the most luxurious and top-class down products. Due to the specificity of the climate (cold winters and hot summers), Hungarian geese grow fluff with extremely long fibers, so duvets are much lighter and keeps their fluff for many years as to the long fibers bonding together.
Duck down is smaller, has shorter fibers, so the products are less fluffy, and the duvets needs to be filled with more weight than goose down in order to achieve the same warmth.
